With effect from 1 January 2013, for each customer who still receives paper statement, every single account will be charged a monthly fee of HK$10.00 (if the customer holds more than one account, every single account will be charged a monthly fee of HK$10.00). The fee will be debited from the account (including the sub-account) next month as long as any paper statement is sent out (e.g. the monthly fee for January will be debited in February). All the fees charged in 2013 will be donated to the local charities in Hong Kong.

  1. What is e-Statement Service?
    The e-Statement Service will contribute to the protection of our environment and establishing the green future for the next generation, and you can receive statements electronically at your personal email address.
  2. What are the benefits of using "e-Statement Service”?
    - Free of charge
    - Secured: statements will be sent directly to your email address and stored easily with confidentiality.
    - Convenient and swift: Accessible anytime, anywhere through your personal email address. The statements and Advice can be received in time.
  3. I would like to continually receive paper statements. Will a monthly fee of HK10 be charged had there be no transactions at all in 2013and that statements are generated merely because of the stock positions in my account?
    HK$10 will be charged. Subscription of our e-Statement Service as soon as possible is therefore strongly recommended.
  4. How do I subscribe for e-Statement Service?
    Please visit our website at www.cpy.com.hk and download the "Change of Account Details" formunder “Download”, and select the "Option B" under the "Change of Mailing Method". Please send it back to any of our company after signing by fax at (852) 2918-0409 or by email at info@cpy.com.hk。 . The statements and Advice in your designated account(s) will be sent to your designated email address accordingly.
  5. When will my subscription of e-Statement Service be effective?
    We will verify your details over the phone once we have received your "Change of Account Details" form. Your subscription will be effective after all processes have been duly completed.
  6. Can I subscribe e-Statement Service for my joint account?
    Yes.
    The same procedure mentioned in Q4 applies.
  7. I hold multiple accounts with Core Pacific-Yamaichi. A Can I subscribe for e-Statement Service for one account while continue to receive paper statements for others?
    Yes.

  8. After subscription of e-Statement Service, will I still receive paper statements?
    No.
    If you have selected the e-Statement Service, no paper statements will be sent to you by post.
  9. Can I change my designated email address?
    Yes.
    Please visit our website at www.cpy.com.hk and download the "Change of Account Details" form under “Download”, and complete your new email address under the "Change in email address". After signing, please send it back to any of our company by fax at (852) 2918-0409 or by email at info@cpy.com.hk。. After we verity your information over the telephone, the change procedure will be completed (Note: Please update your email address whenever there are any changes to ensure you can receive the e-Statements in due course).
  10. What file format will the e-Statements be in?
    All electronic statements will be in Portable Document Format (PDF). You need to install a PDF reader (such as Adobe Reader) in your computer to view the e-statement.Acrobat Reader 5.0 is available at the “Download” page on our website.
  11. What should I do if I cannot view Chinese texts in the PDF files?
    You can download and install the Traditional Chinese Font Pack on Adobe's website at http://www.adobe.com/hk_zh/
  12. Why are emails from Core Pacific-Yamaichi sent to the Trash Box instead of Inbox?
    Some webmail providers may treat the email sent from Core Pacific-Yamaichi as trash mails. You are advised to add the email address of Core Pacific-Yamaichi to your address book.
  13. When will the Paper Statement Monthly fee be effective?
    It will be effective from 1 January 2013.
  14. How much is the Paper Statement Monthly Fee?
    HK$10 per account.
  15. Which accounts / customers will be charged for receiving paper statements?
    For customers who continue to receive paper statements after 1 January 2013, a monthly fee of HK$10 will be charged.
  16. When and how will I be charged if I continually choose to receive paper statements?
    We will directly debit HK$10 in the following month for the paper statements generated this month from your account. (e.g. the monthly fee for January will be debited in February)
  17. If I subscribe for e-statement in the middle of the month, will I still be charged? Will the monthly fee be charged on a pro-rata basis?
    Yes. You will be charged for using paper statements. However, you will not be charged on pro-rata basis. The full Paper Statement Monthly fee of HK$10 will apply.
